K9

This took some time, had some problems with 3ds max, many problems in fact. Most of them i was able to fix but one just wouldn't leave me alone, i don't know if it was something i did or if the program just messed up but these four verts were just stuck, i couldn't move them, i could select things so it wasn't locked. Then i tried to rotate the whole thing and realised that the entire model was rotating around these 4 verts. I had no idea how to fix, nor did anyone else so i had to revert to an earlier save. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with it, kinda annoyed i couldn't get the head to work as a joined part of the model so i just made it separate.

Robot

Putting this up a bit late, actually had the robot done a couple of days ago but forgot to put it up. Have also been focusing on group work as being the team leader seems to require.
Well on to the robot, i wanted to do something a little different from the cube based toy robots key had us looking at. I initially wanted to do something more complex and inspired by "Medabots" (childhood cartoon).

This may help.
But i figured, as toy based as these robots are it's probably not what Ken wanted so i drew out my own design and used Medabots robots to influence my shapes.
I would scan my drawing in and put it on here too but it's a massive pain to scan an A3 image on an A4 scanner.

Class work

New class work, my funky book shelf, my crappy postbox and my ace skip. Don't lie you know it's ace.

Things went a bit smoother this week, still some problems but noticeably better. Inorganic is clearly easier.

Next is the robot for homework, don't really want to do the typical box robot so I'm looking at more interesting inspiration whilst still keeping in mind how hard it would be to create. At least it doesn't all have to be from one box this time.
